Cyberbullying: How to Protect Your Kids
What can parents do to make sure that their kids are safe when they log on? Family psychologist Jeff Gardere and CNET's Caroline McCarthy talk with Molly Wood about cyberbullying.
Cyberbullying: How to Protect Your Kids. This piece kind of missed the point. If the kid were just getting harassed online, the simple answer is to block the harrassers or just log off. However, entire student bodies, teams, classes, etc are communicating online. The net facillitates the speed and the ability to act collectively. The actions materials at school the next day, not just in postings. I think it's important to educated kids at an earlier age about crowd behavior and for the parents to be more involved in their child's life, bot online and off. Where postings violate legal issues such as privacy, they must be prosecuted.
